Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011 - SM / Parisian Shoes

Hey hey! I'm back! I've decided to blog about the different shows I participated in this past Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011. One of the shows I did was SM Department Store's Parisian Shoes. I've been doing the SM Fashion Week shows for the past 4 seasons, and pretty proud since
I've been a die hard SM shopper ever since its old days.. and I'm soo happy to see it evolve in terms of fashion for both clothes and shoes! Their items are certainly living up with the trends - clothes for example had a portion all dedicated to this summer's hot trend of color blocking ....

Now for the shoes, they had 3 segments:

1.) The basics (blacks, camels, nudes)

2.) Brights (turquoise, yellow, orange, etc.)

3.) Printed

Which they showed through pumps with uber high skinny stielletos and printed pattern on the platform portion of the shoe.

The outfit I wore it with was pretty cool. It was some lingerie bustier paired with shorts. I would actually so wear it .. with some wide legged pants.. or some high waisted shorts...

 ME!

Especially this one modeled by my co-model Jasmine,... in black

Thats about it for now. :) Be back soon! :)

Fashion Watch Quartet 2011 is Back!

After a long three-year break, Fashion Watch Quartet is finally back! This is a series of weekly runway shows held all year round at the hotel lobby of the Makati Shangri-la. I think that its a pretty interesting concept. Who would've thought that you could mix fashion and hotel coffee shop canapes? These shows are held every Thursday, and trust me, the lobby can get pretty packed. So make sure to reserve a table if ever you do decide to watch.

The outfit below is what i wore to the second show of the year. i made sure to wear this knitted oversized top, because I wanted to keep myself warm... The Makati Shangri-la air conditioning can get pretty cold.

We've been doing the weekly shows since April. Its really fun because the production team and my fellow models are my friends, so every thursday feels like a fun hang out session. Plus, the whole team - makeup artists, production, models, etc. - gets a free lunch buffet at Circles.

Even my mom is so into the Fashion Watch series. We live really near the hotel, so she's been reserving a table the past few weeks and she's been bringing with her a different friend every week for some tea and snacks. She's been enjoying spotting outfis she likes (aside from watching me, her daughter, of course, hehe!).

This May 26, 2010 (Thursday), the featured Fashion Watch designers are Norman Noriega and Arcy Gayatin. I really love Norman's pieces (oversized blazers with chains, lots of blacks, some whites, androgynous but sexy). Come check the show out! Show's at 4pm! :)

Big Bang Bazaar

It's been ages since my last upload, I know! It's because I've been so busy with work, with Philippine Fashion Week coming up, Fashion Watch 2011 in full swing, and all that. The past two weeks have been all about fittings and shows. Another reason for the lack of uploads is the recent bazaar for my online store Paperbag Vintage held last April 30 and May 1 at the NBC Tent. It was my friend Kristen and I who manned the booth the whole 2 days. We had so much fun being the silly people we are - cracking up jokes, laughing all day, being noisy. Since the bazaar wasn't so packed, we were able to sneak out of our booth to do a bit of Chictopia-ing with her boyfriend who had an SLR!

First photo up is Bazaar Day 1's outfit. I'd like to call this outfit the ANTI-SUMMER, with the whole gray monochromatic look along with the black blazer and boots. While everyone was donning summer and colorful outfits, I went the other way with darker and more melancholy shades.

I've finally uploaded my Bazaar Day 2 outfit! Hurray! I don't want my posts too cluttered, so will still post the photos here in this same entry.

If Day 1's outfit was the anti-summer... Then Day 2 is the complete opposite: The HELLO SUMMER outfit: I.E. A super light, sheer, and breezy top perfect for the hot sun and the warm summer wind; paired with a short short yellow skirt that screams out hello sunshine!
